श्रीनगर। जम्मू-कश्मीर के पुलिस प्रमुख एस. पी. वैद को बृहस्पतिवार देर रात उनके पद से हटा दिया गया। पुलिस महानिदेशक (कारागार) दिलबाग सिंह को राज्य के पुलिस प्रमुख का अतिरिक्त प्रभार सौंपा गया है। एक आधिकारिक आदेश में यह कहा गया है। गृह विभाग के प्रधान सचिव द्वारा आदेश में कहा गया है कि 1986 बैच के आईपीएस अधिकारी वैद का तबादला यातायात आयुक्त के पद पर किया गया है।आदेश में लिखा है… एक स्थायी व्यवस्था होने तक 1987 बैच के आईपीएस अधिकारी और कारागार विभाग के प्रमुख दिलबाग सिंह इस पद का अतिरिक्त प्रभार संभालेंगे।1986 बैच के जम्मू-कश्मीर कैडर के आईपीएस एस.पी. वैद को देश के राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार अजित डोभाल का विश्वस्त सहयोगी माना जाता है। उन्होंने ऑपरेशन ऑलआउट सहित कई अभियानों को सफलतापूर्वक अंजाम भी दिया है। एसपी वैद जम्मू-कश्मीर के कठुआ जिले से ताल्लुक रखते हैं। अपने अदम्य साहस के चलते उन्हें कई वीरता पुरस्कारों से नवाजा जा चुका है। राज्य के सबसे खतरनाक इलाकों में उनकी पोस्टिंग रही है। हाल के दिनों में राज्य में पुलिसकर्मियों के अपहरण की वारदातें बढ़ी हैं। ऐसी खबरें आ रही थीं कि पुलिसकर्मियों के परिजनों के अपहरण के चलते नए राज्यपाल सत्यपाल मलिक डीजीपी से नाराज चल रहे हैं। हालांकि बाद में डीजीपी वैद ने ऐसी खबरों को नकारते हुए कहा था कि ये महज अफवाह हैं।बता दें कि बीते दिनों जम्मू-कश्मीर में राज्यपाल के तौर पर सत्यपाल मलिक की नियुक्ति के बाद से ही केंद्र द्वारा राज्य को लेकर रणनीति में फेरबदल के संकेत मिल रहे थे। राज्य में फिलहाल राष्ट्रपति शासन लगा है। पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने 15 अगस्त को लालकिले से अपने भाषण में राज्य में पंचायत चुनाव कराने की बात कही थी।
